Martin Guitar Take a Chance - Win a Fabulous Martin Guitar!
Take a chance or three to have your name selected on stage during the Sunday Main Stage Concert to win a special Martin Guitar.

Traditionally, we have one of the Sunday Concert performers select the winner, and then you can pick up your new guitar backstage before you go home, maybe even get a few tips from one of the pros on playing style.

Be sure to buy your raffle tickets so you don't miss out. You can purchase your chances in our online store starting two months before the Festival, or buy them at the Raffle Booth at the Festival.

The interest in custom Martin instruments with vintage pre-war appointments has grown tremendously in recent years. Through the Martin Custom Shop, collectors and enthusiasts can order historically accurate reissues of many pre-war Martin models. Occasionally, recurring custom requests influence Martin's list of stock offerings.

The guitar is courtesy of C.F. Martin Company. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the Philadelphia Folksong Society.

Festival Tips
  1. Buy your tickets early to get the discount!
  2. Plan to see someone you've never heard of - you might be pleasantly surprised!
  3. Don't forget to pack - and wear - your sunscreen! Bug repellent is a good idea, too.
  4. Bring lightweight foul weather gear - if you don't it is sure to rain.
  5. Bring your kids and plan to see all the children's activities!
  6. Bring a small flashlight for evenings.
  7. Secure your keys in your pocket or a backpack or fanny pack so they don't get lost.
  8. Check out the storytelling and juggling in Dulcimer Grove, and rest for a while in the cool shade!
  9. Be sure to bring a blanket so you can enjoy the music on the hill!
  10. Don't forget to check out the crafts area - watch the glassblowers, the candle makers, and the blacksmith show you how they do it!
  11. Performers sign their CDs outside the CD Tent after their performances - here's your chance to meet them.
  12. The Sales Tent has t-shirts, sweatshirts, ponchos, umbrellas, hats, and lots of other items with the Folk Festival logo on them. Take home a souvenir!
  13. Set specific meeting places and times with members of your group. Pick a spot everyone can find easily, like the Sales Tent.
  14. Don't bring anything to Festival in a glass container. Glass is dangerous at Festival. Transfer contents to plastic containers.
  15. Remember, the Festival in a farmer's field at a time of year when the weather can include hot days, cold nights, sun, rain, wind, and other variations.
  16. Bring clothes for all types of weather, including a hat. It is best to bring clothes that can be layered.
  17. Wear shoes, sneakers, boots, or other footwear appropriate to the site at all times. The ground is rough and there are many hazards to bare feet.
  18. Put a flag or ribbon on your car's antenna so you can find it easily in the parking lot after the concert.
  19. Put a laminated tag on young children with their name, your name, and cell phone number if you have one with you at Festival. Lost children are taken to the Information Booth.
  20. Park your car and take the shuttle bus right to the Main Gate.
