Dennis Hangey

Dennis Hangey will open the 51st Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival with the traditional playing of the bagpipes from the Main Stage. Pipe Major Dennis Hangey has been performing for appreciative audiences for more than 30 years. He has piped for innumerable dignitaries such as presidents and first ladies, governors, mayors, corporate CEOs and military commanders. Dennis has opened many Folk Festivals in the tri-state area including Philadelphia for the past five years.
