Consummate musicians and storytellers Kim & Reggie Harris entertained and inspired audiences at last year’s Philadelphia Folk Festival and they are coming back for this special Folksong Society event. With their creative curiosity and years of road and stage experience, they combine a strong folk and gospel legacy with a solid background in classical, rock, jazz and pop music. Kim & Reggie are unique in their ability to captivate audiences of any background as they blend their talents as singers, songwriters, educators, interpreters of history and cultural advocates while promoting social responsibility and understanding in the community.
As a result of their CDs Steal Away and Get On Board, and materials developed in their work with the Kennedy Center, Kim & Reggie have earned wide acclaim for their contributions to historical and educational circles on the Underground Railroad and the modern civil rights movement.
